The service was a real blessing to all of us. And a wonderful tribute to an amazing woman in so many ways. She added a vitality to every event or gathering that she was in. We always looked forward to the Fridays when she'd join us at the office. The insurance trips were always more fun because she and Thomas were there.
Your family was very special to ours and will always be. Thank you for letting us be a part of the Celebration of Life. It was a fitting memorial of a life well lived. We'll see her again in heaven and that makes it even more desirable.

My deepest sympathies in the loss of your beautiful mother, Minnie Ola. I knew her through my sister-in-law, Joan Duke, whose brother was my husband Tommy Byrd (deceased). Minnie Ola came a few times to our home with Joan, and we dined together. We both loved to cook, shared recipes and reminisced about family. I will always remember her beautiful smile and her laughter. She was a true Southern lady! May she rest in peace.
