So many good things can be said about Tom that his friends know (attitiude, insight, encourager, leadership, innovation, service, humor, etc., etc., etc.)! I very much enjoyed spending time with him on evenings when we found ourselves the last in the office. Then our thoughts sometimes went from work to family and faith. His humility and respect for others impressed me. We miss Tom for now, but Lord willing we will see him again!!!

Tom Odum was a great mentor and leader to hundreds of employees, including myself, at the local Navy Laboratory. As the nationally recognized expert in the fields of diving and life support, not only was he the leader at the Laboratory for research and development in the diving world, but was the US NAVY's lead person for these fields. Tom will be missed but leaves us with great memories!

Dear Doris, It has been many years since Ed
and I lived at Bay Point. Ed Hedbawny passed away on June 7, 2018. We had been married for almost 39 years. We always loved seeing your Christmas decorations. Ed worked with Tom and thought very much of him. My sincere sympathy to you and your family.
