I have so many wonderful memories of spending as much time with the Twogood's as I did at home from 3rd grade through 6th grade when we were neighbors before they moved to Farmers Loop. They loved and treated me like a daughter! Trips to Tangle Lakes, Jean and I living in a tent put up in their yard for an entire summer, all the hours at the bowling alley, grabbing tomatoes ripening in the garage on our way to school, bike riding, chasing Nancy the goat, the chicken Hannah and our protector Narda! Dorothy, Ron, Andy, Jean and Joan were a very big part of my young life. The experiences with you all are a very big part of my life and my most fond memories! The last time I saw Dorothy and Jean in Fred Myers after my Dad died I still felt the love and closeness even though we rarely saw each other; the shared memories were not ever forgotten. Dorothy was a grand lady and so distinctive and she made me feel valued even when I was an overweight, awkward youngster! Much love and sincere sympathy to all the Twogood's and especially to my best and most precious grade school friend, Jean. Love, Karen

I have loved the Twogood family since I first met Ron and Dorothy when their darling little daughter Jean was in first grade at Denali Elementary -- in around 1953! I remember Andy then too. They were both dear, intelligent children. (I hadn't realized that he passed on.).

After we got to know the children we became acquainted with Ron and Dorothy. Dick always enjoyed talking and learning from Ron who worked at Plywood Supply in the early days. Ron was a genius in thinking outside the box! One example: Ron was the first builder locally who started placing cooper piping in floors then pouring concrete to cover them! (Lots of detail work involved!).

With Dorothy's passing, our thoughts are with the Twogood family. They can be joyful in the legacy their parents left for the Fairbanks community.

With love from Jo and Dick Scott,
Tucson, AZ
