I am very sorry for your loss. Antonio was a wonderful man and I am privileged to have known and spent time with him. He was a gentle, kind soul who loved his family and life, and I know that he is looking down upon us all from heaven with my grandparents happy and at peace with the Lord. May that bring you all comfort during this time, and know that he will live on through us! May God comfort you and give you strength. I am here for you always. Love you all!

Nonno, I love you
January 22, 2018
Dearest Eleonora, Allie, Marina, and the entire family: How do I convey my sadness upon our beloved Tony's untimely death? Tony was not only my darling daughter-in-law Marina's Dad, he was also a cherished and loving friend, a man of incredible ability to love his wife, his daughters, his sons-in-law, his precious 7 grandchildren, all of whom he helped to raise since their birth, his beloved family in Italy, and a long list of loyal friends here in the States. His vegetable garden was second to none, and he loved making his yearly red wine batch, which he generously shared with everyone during all the many special gatherings we had around the Iatomasi, Squeglia, and Ciccarini dinning room tables. I never heard Tony raise his voice to anyone, speak ill of anyone, or refuse to help anyone, in the nearly 22 years I have had the privilege of knowing this loving, caring, gentle, friendly, and 1`humble man... I'm sure he must be sharing a glass of red wine with God by now, a dish of roasted chestnuts in front of him, which he would always carefully peel and offer to everyone before he ate any himself. I send the biggest hug and warmest kiss to you, Tony, up there in Heaven. Eleonora, God help and guide you through this most difficult time, my beloved friend. Allie, Marina, I know that you never left his side during his stay at the hospital; he took his last breath hearing over and over how much he was loved by you all; let that be a source of comfort to you both now, as you deal with the devastation of losing such a wonderful Dad. Frank, Mario, and all those beautiful an precious grandchildren, ranging from 16 to 3 years of age, you could not have had a better Nonno, and I know how much you all miss him already; may God comfort you, my little munchkins, as you grieve for him. Know that he'll always be at your side as long as you carry him in your thoughts . My prayers, and love are going directly from our hearts to yours... With all our love... Remo and Tereza Ciccarini
