To the Rynne family. We are so very sorry to hear of both your parents passing. My dad Tex Harris worked with your dad at the Water Company many years ago. I remember going to your house in Hamden when we were much younger for cookouts. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Jo Ann, Donna & Duane Harris

Dear Maureen, Patricia and Christine:

Please accept my deepest sympathies on the passing of your father and, as I just learned, the recent passing of your mother as well. I am saddened by the loss of these two great people.

I know both Chris and Angela were friends of my parents and often crossed paths likely dating back to the very earliest stages of The Club, not to mention our families knowing each other for generations on the Cox side.

Anybody who knows your family well has to be struck by your warmth, kindness and compassion. I am.

I came to personally know the family much better through, what I consider to be, a most generous act.

A good friend of the Rynne family, Pat McGuinness (no relation to me) was no longer able to care for himself. Pat had no family in the area, his wife Josephine predeceasing him many years prior. The Rynne family took in this family friend into their own home and cared for him the last years of his life; again truly one of the most compassionate acts I've ever witnessed.

I will never forget it.

Again, I send my love and my deepest sympathies to all the family. Your parents were two great people in the truest sense of the word.

Jay McGuinness
