What can I say about how much I will miss my dear friend Dave. Although our friendship was only about 7 years long, it was the type of friendship everyone wishes they had. We could talk about anything (and we did often). We never judged each others differences (of which we had some). We cared about each other and showed that for the first 5+ years by talking everyday (even if just to do in quick check in) to be sure each of us were ok. We enjoyed going to the movies, plays, and out to eat. We shared similar likes (TV shows, political views, and a deep love for our children). We celebrated each others joys as well as consoled one another when the news wasn't so happy. He was my dear, dear, friend who cannot be replaced. I am so grateful that he passed peacefully with his TV on, and cell phone nearby. I miss you dear friend.

Kayte and Sarah - your dad and I spent many hours over many years talking about you, music, books, TV and words and just the world in general. He loved you both enormously and was so proud of each of you. We are the blessed ones to have known him even for such a short time as he was one-of-a-kind, a true gentleman and a great hugger (I told him his hugs could put all the broken pieces back together). He will be missed for his unique perspective on the way things are and the way they should be!
