Ewen, Robert
Robert C. Ewen, 73, of Washington Ave. Seymour, entered into eternal life on Friday, December 1, 2017 in the comfort of his home with his devoted pal Ginger at his side. Bob was the beloved husband of the late Diana Piscitelli Ewen. Bob was born in Derby on September 26, 1944, son of the late Walter J. and Margaret (Tiano) Ewen, Sr. He was employed by American Brass for many years. In his younger days, he lived life on the edge with fast cars and no challenge too great. Bob was deeply religious and was a communicant of St. Augustine Church. In the sunset of his life, he was proud to be a funeral assistant and facilities manager at the Chepulis Funeral Home. Bob loved life and always extended a smile and welcoming hand to all he encountered. He treasured his escapes to the casino and was always waiting for the "prize patrol" to show up at his house. He enjoyed watching movies, the NY Yankees, wrestling and listening to the music of Elvis. He loved the Christmas season and extensively decorated his home. He will be sadly missed. In addition to his wife Diana, he was predeceased by his son John Robert and his beloved brother Walter J. Ewen, Jr. Bob is survived by his daughter Robyn (Joseph) Dulla of Ansonia; granddaughter Tabitha Dulla of NY; aunt and uncle, Florence and John Tema of Derby; brother-in-law Paul (Carol) Piscitelli of Derby; nephews, Scott (Debbie) Ewen of TN, Mark (Joy) Ewen of Derby, TJ (Michelle) Piscitelli of Woodbury and Paul (Cathy) Piscitelli of Prospect and niece Rachel (Ryan) Pfeiffer of Middlebury. Bob is also survived by his dear friends, Bill, Tony Dulla, Joe Rogalis, Ginger Ewen and Anne Chepulis. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home, 47 Washington Ave., Seymour, for a 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine Church with Rev. Will Malave officiating. Private burial will occur at Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 3-5 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until Mass. To leave an online condolence, please visit:
