Gerry (Bruddy) was a childhood friend of mine from the Fair Haven/St. Francis parish neighborhood in New Haven. He and I shared an afternoon paper route for delivering the New Haven Register, to which we were assigned by his older brother Billy. I have fond memories of him as a sincere and good-hearted guy. I lost track of him ages ago, but I'm delighted to learn how well he did given our shared working-class origins on Lombard St. My condolences to all his friends and loved ones.

I was so saddened to hear about Gerry. My sincerest condolences to his family. Gerry was a colleague at the Commerce Department and friend from our Connecticut political days. Consummate professional, fabulous story teller, and the nicest guy you could meet.

I have very fond memories of Gerry when he worked at American Trucking Association. Like all former McKinney staff guys he was fun to be with, humble and full of the joy of life. My condolences to his family on the passing of a good guy.

Dear Mrs. McKiernan and family,
I was a colleague of Gerry's at USPS and I remember how he was always calm and steady under pressure, showing respect and kindness to all. I now have learned he was also very humble after reading his impressive obituary. Please know you have my deepest sympathy.
