So sorry to learn of Leo's passing First met him about 25 yrs ago when I first got into the hobby of re-enacting and going to musters with the 17th CT Fifes & Drums-now defunct-from Torrington CT., and later with the GLI of RI. He was always entertaining, and fun to listen to; he knew there would always be a cup of coffee for him at our tent site, and I was always happy to sit in for him when he needed to "stretch his legs" after a long spell in his sutler's tent. God bless you, Leo, and my condolences to the family.

Lee, as we called him, grew up in Short Beach, CT, where his parents operated Brennan's Store while his father was route manager for The New Haven Journal Courier. His older brother Bobby was part of my teen years "Rat Pack". Lee, five or six years younger was always around, and after we moved on it was over 50 years ago that we renewed our acquaintance as part of fife and drum. The sorrow of his passing is balanced by the years of good memories. Prayers for his soul and strength and understanding go out from many of us to his family.

So sorry to hear of Leo's passing. I have enjoyed seeing, talking with him when he attended the Nathan HaleHomestead events. He will be greatly missed. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

I am so saddened by this news. Leo was one in a million, much loved by all in the Ancient community. Save a place for me, Leo, right next to you, Ed Olsen, and Benny. That is my idea of heaven!
