Molumphy, Ann
Ann Teresa Molumphy, of West Walk, West Haven, passed peacefully in Apple Rehab on January 18, 2018, one week after her 87th birthday. Her devoted daughter, Eileen was by her side. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Paul Edward Molumphy and by two of her children, Paul E. Molumphy Jr. and Mary Jane Molumphy. Besides Eileen Molumphy-Colonese, Steve Colonese and Harry, West Haven, she leaves her daughter Elizabeth Molumphy, Hartford, and Grandson, Ian Paris Taylor, West Hartford, and her brother, Joseph Mancini and family.
A talented Soprano, she sang at countless private events and in various roles with the New Haven Opera society for decades.
She leaves a long legacy of private opera students whom she coached in later years. Many performed professionally as well as for pleasure of the art.
Mrs. Molumphy worked alongside her husband, Dr. Molumphy, in his private practice in New Haven for many years as well, until his untimely death in 1989. She was a medical assistant, office manager and bookkeeper for the office.
A lifelong learner and reader, she had a vast amount of knowledge, particularly in music and world history and always had an interesting story, or anecdote. She opened her home to many friends of her children in their Westville, New Haven, residence and blessed with a curious and lively mind, was a friend to many a person.
She will truly be missed.

Dear Eileen, we were saddened to learn of your mom's passing. She was a special woman and we have so many fond memories of her, we loved talking with her. I'm not sure if you know this but she was in my aunt's wedding or vice, versa.

Dear Eileen, Elizabeth and families.... It is with my heartfelt sympathy to learn the passing of your Mom. She indeed was a Lovely person and family member. Although the years have past she was always thought of with much affection. She is now at her Eternal Rest and the Heaven above has gained another melodic soul. The Love and Memories of her will fill your Hearts . May Gods Blessings be with you.
