Daly, Arthur C.
Arthur Daly, 83, of Madison, Connecticut, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018. He is survived by his beloved wife Irene Daly and children Catherine Walzer, Cecelia Kallinich and husband Glen, Christine Elster and husband David, also of Madison, and Arthur H. Daly and wife Sarah of Southington. Grandfather of Zachary, Sydney, Jack, Maggie, and Alex. Born March 16,1934, he is predeceased by parents Arthur and Helen Lynch Daly and by sisters Virginia and Claire.
A dedicated worker at Southern New England Telephone until his retirement after 41 years, he was also a CPO in the Naval Reserves, retiring after 30 years of service, including 2 years of active duty. He was a lifetime member of the Westbrook Elks.
Art's greatest passion was his motorcycle collection and his work with restoring and maintaining classic motorcycles in the comfort of his own garage. He often rode his motorcycles around the state to document and share his travels.
Friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday, February 10 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. followed by a prayer service with Military Honors at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
