Thank you, Ray, for your kind comments. My father was devoted to his students and his teaching, and he gave his love of music to his family.

Thank you, Bill, for your memories of my father's music and his Boy Scout driving. Such an impression his help made, that you remember half a century later. I'm sure he knew how much it meant to you.

I worked with Yale for many years in the New Haven Public Schools. He was a wonderful educator and a true gentleman. He will be missed by all that knew him.

A good long life your father did have, full of love and music. I recall as a boy being over the house and looking in amazement at all the musical instruments in the front rooms. I really never did thank him for driving down Whalley Avenue to pick me up in front of the Crown Market to go to Boy Scouts at the temple in Hamden every week. I thank you now for him.
