Nelda and family,

I just wanted to express my condolences on behalf of all the members of the Beta Mu chapter of Phi Kappa Tau. I met Ed while an undergraduate at Kent State in the late 80s, and I am so grateful to have continued our friendship for the last 30 years. Ed was proud of his beloved fraternity, and we were all very honored to follow in his footsteps. (Ed was also very proud of you, Nelda. Ed never neglected to remind me that you were KSU's Homecoming Queen!) May God's grace be with you all during this difficult time. We will honor Ed's life this summer when his fraternity brothers gather in Kent. One last time for "Good Ole EZE Ed"... We are brothers now and ever, until the day we die. And when that time comes rollin' round, we'll bid our last good-bye. There is one thing sure and certain, let us bow our heads in awe. We'll meet again in heaven sure... in the name of Phi Kappa Tau."

Dear Dick, Rosemary and family,

We feel terrible that we just recently heard of your
dear brother's passing.
So much has been said about the loss of a sibling and the sadness that is felt. It's a difficult time.
We only knew Ed through you and your family stories, but we understood the bond you had and
what excellent care and attention the two of you gave your mother. What a wonderful example you were to all your children and grandchildren. We know how much you will miss him.

May he Rest In Peace.
With our sympathy to you and to Nelda,
Tim and Jeanne

One of my favorites, Nelda. Still remember when Ed and I played softball with and against one another. Certainly plan to attend his memorial Mass today.
