Anthony Ray Smith, of Walton, KY passed away after a long illness on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. Anthony was 45. Anthony was born October 19, 1971 to Howard Lee Smith and Alice Katherine (Hensley) Smith in Covington, KY. Raised in Dry Ridge, KY, he was a 1990 graduate of Grant County High School and attended Lexington Community College. Anthony was also a member at the Walton United Methodist Church. Anthony was preceded in death by his mother Alice Katherine (Hensley) Smith in 2010. He leaves behind his father, Howard Smith of Williamstown, KY, his brother Charles David Smith of Dry Ridge, KY, and a nephew Michael Smith, of Frankfort, KY. He also leaves behind his best friends Tony and Holly Camacho, and two god-children Josephine and Wyatt, all of Crittenden, and many many friends. Visitation will be at the United Methodist Church of Walton, Walton, KY on Wednesday beginning at 11 am and the funeral service to follow at 1 PM. Anthony will be laid to rest at New Columbus Cemetery in Owen County following the service. Memorials are suggested to Walton United Methodist Church, Walton, KY or to the UC Health Pancreatic Disease Center in Cincinnati, OH.
