What I will always remember about my Aunt Grace was her zest for life and sense of humor. When she ran an antique shop she referred to it as Grace's junk. The 7th of 7 children she was very close to #6 her sister, my mother, Jean Richey. My mother would tell me stories of Grace and her swimming together in the Ohio River when they were young. Grace was a true lover of animals. When I was growing up, she had a beagle named Buttons who roamed her neighborhood and was loved and fed by most of her neighbors. In later years she had several cats whom she adored. She drew them for the covers to her annual Christmas cards. Grace was a terrific artist. She did a painting of my mother which I will always treasure. She had the good fortune of having terrific health until her last few months and passed the 100 mark with flying colors. As the last of the "Wasmer children," she and that generation will be sorely missed.

it is hard to find the the words to express how I feel about this dear lady! Her daughter, Alice and I have been best friends for over 50 years and I did 'nt know along with my friend I got a mentor in her mother. Grace taught me so much along the way. I say good bye to this dear lady now with sadness in my heart knowing I will never see her again or hear her tell one of her amazing stories but my heart is also full of happiness for I had the pleasure of having this dear lady as a friend, mentor, and other mother! My condolences to Alice,Charlie and loved ones and thank you for sharing Grace !
