Sharon, I was so sorry to hear about your Dad. I remember the fun times my parents and I had with all of you. The volleyball and badminton in the backyard. The chili suppers and Thanksgivings we all spent together. We were blessed to have such wonderful parents. I know they are all together in Heaven. You and your family are in my prayers. Love, Linda Ficke Guthrie, Carrie and Pam

Dear Sharon,
I was so very sorry to learn of your father's passing. I remember him as the very special father of my dear childhood friend. He was a (Civil?) War expert and could embroider so well that one couldn't tell the front from the back of his pieces! In my childhood innocence, I didn't realize he was a WWII vet! Both your parents were always kind and welcoming to me. They were pleasant and cheerful. I remember that, since your brother was several years older than you, we had the run of your house when I came to play! I remember going to evening services at your church and loving the beautiful singing. And then, your dad would take us to a nearby grocery and buy us the chocolate "Bun" candy bars! Yum.
I have no doubt that he is in heaven, enjoying a wonderful reunion with your mom, brother, and many others he has lost over the years. He is with his Savior, whom he served faithfully in this life.
May God grant you peace, comfort, and joyful memories to sustain you.
