I first meet Jan and Gary about 48 years ago at our church in Springdale, OH. They adopted us, and we being without family in the area, were touched and attached ourselves to them. Jan was the encouraging and positive mother that I did not have, but she was not old enough to be my mother, so she became my older sister. She taught me things that my own mother could not. I loved being in her company and learning from her!! It hurts to let go of someone you have grown to care about, but as we grow we learn that hurting is a price you pay for caring. Jan had a deep faith--she is in Jesus's arms!!
