I was just made aware through a mailing from Good Samaritan Hospital that Mrs. Gendreau had passed away. Mrs. Gendreau was my very first clinical nursing instructor at Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in 1976, and will always be my favorite. She was an awesome instructor and had high expectations for all of us. Her kindness and encouragement helped me to become the nurse I am today. Sending sympathy to all of her family.

My sympathy is with you during this most difficult time in the loss of Jean. She was a wonderful lady, nurse, and educator. I am better by being one of her students. I still often think of class, Jean would say, "Are you with me? Stay with me now". That was a great way to make sure we were engaged and progressing in the class work.

Rest in peace, Jean.

Jean was a wonderful woman and teacher; I only knew her in these capacities. However, I know for so many more, she was a very great friend, mother, hostess, and to Bernie, the perfect wife! She made the world a better place. My condolences to the Gendreau family and all her friends, especially her GSH College of Nursing friends.
Peace & love,
Amelia Mengon
