I was named after my Uncle John (Dad's brother) but always called Jack like my cousin. The last time I saw Jack was at a party Walt & Martha had for him and Mary Lou ten years or so ago. I believe Elisabeth was there as well. He was a guy with a great family who we always knew was there but rarely got to see. But we knew of his stature and we had great admiration for him.

Once, ages ago, 1970ish, I was in Jacksonville so I called Jack just to say hello. Twenty minutes later there he was at the hotel having a beer with me and clearly happy to be there. I was too. Great guy. He had 94 wonderful years and who could ask for more than that? Love to all of you, Jack Bunker (the other one).

May the love of friends and family be there for each other during this time of grieving.

I was so sorry to hear the news of your dad's passing. He was truly a great man. And wonderful father. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

We were sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad. My sister , Peggy Kirkpatrick, was a coworker and friend of Mary Lou's at Assumption School. My husband and I attended her Mass in 2013. Please know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers.
