I worked at NASA with john. I only recently saw of his passing in a Mt View local. This message is to express my condolances but it also fulfills personal need to acknowledge him. After his. Move I would call to just talk. In fact I was about to make a call when I saw the notice. I considered him a friend and am personally saddened.

To the daughter of John O. Reller Jr.--
Susan Flyer
This from Mark D Doty Jr who lives in Hamilton, OH
This obit could read as my father's did when he died in 1991. He also worked at Ames Research at Moffett Field in Sunnyvale, CA from 1961 to 1971 as a research machinist and with the wind tunnels. It was so neat to read of your father too. Mr Doty had a good friend in Oxford,OH , Mr Day, who had a green house on Locust. Thanks for sharing the memories.

I do not know you or your family but I want to extend my deepest condolences to the family of a man who has left such a lasting legacy to the world. May God grant you peace and comfort. May you continue the legacy and let it live on.

My sympathy to you and your family. You do not know me, Ruth Binder Duckworth, of Mt Vernon, Indiana, but I knew your father from the time he lived with our family, when he worked at Boeing in Seattle. My father was a minister there, and your grandfather in Evansville contacted him to find a place for him to stay. Housing was scarce so they fixed up a room in the basement for him to stay. Later, when my parents wanted to move back to the midwest, your grandfather, Otto Reller, recommended the church in Mt. Vernon to him where he served. I have often wondered where he went after that, so was surprised to see his obituary in the paper today. He must have had a marvelous career, and accomplished so much. He had to be a wonderful person, father and grandfather, and you must have many beautiful memories to cherish and keep him close in your heart. May God bless you with his loving presence and love. Ruth Duckworth
