My Mother was Tom's sister and I only knew him as "Uncle Buddy". He was a loving Uncle and gave me my first baseball glove. When I grew older and he came to visit I saw a fine and caring gentleman. Occasionally over the years he sent notes (always handwritten) on something he saw that related to my life - a very thoughtful person. He will be remembered fondly.

As one of many Tom worked with at Channel 5,
Craigo, you remain with me and all the newsies.

Tom was a prince of a guy and a journalist with unrivaled integrity. He led the way for many of us at WLWT and always seemed to strike the perfect tone in his work and life. I am grateful for this good man and the life he lived.

I had the opportunity of working with Tom at WLWT. His attention to detail in reporting the facts of a story was refreshing along with his dry sense of humor. He was a joy to work alongside.
