Tom Sharp was a fine man. A man of courage, compassion and talent. I knew Tom during his coaching at Woodward High School in 1967 and established a friendship ever since. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. We are all at a loss in his passing.

My prayers and condolences go out to Tom's family. Tom was the first person I met at the beginning of my teaching career and we remained great friends. His dedication to his students, his players and his peers was admirable. His sense of humor kept us all laughing in the coaches offices around the city. We have lost a great man, mentor and friend. I know he's in heaven with a pencil and piece of paper drawing Xs and Os to stop the sweep. God bless you Tom.

Tom and I spent 4 great years in the trenches at EKU. I played tackle and Ed Spenik played tight end. I remember what a fun loving and fierce competitor he was. He was such a good person and you have my sympathy in your loss. May he Rest In Peace.
