WALT was a US Paratrooper of the 17th Airborne Division during WWII, who helped free Europe from Nazi Tyranny. He was brave, dedicated and determined, and like so many from that generation, did his duty, returned home, went to school on the GI Bill, entered industry, raised a family and was a loyal and patriotic American. May God Bless you and your family, we salute you WALT! CHARLES DAVIS/ALBERT DAVIS/DAVID SHORTT, 17TH AIRBORNE DIVISION "SCIONS" ASSOCIATION

Jim and I knew Walter through the YMCA in Blue Ash. When I found out he was a WWII Hero, jumped out of planes over Europe, and survived the Battle of the Bulge it gave me chills. I asked him if he had written down some of his experiences that happened during the war and he said he didn't have to because someone from the Library of Congress had already interviewed him and you could read the interview online. I was very impressed with his positive attitude and all his smiles. Our condolences to Walter's family and many friends.
