I have been away for sometime and just heard the news about Zach. I knew him from being a baseball umpire and I enjoyed watching him play the game. He played with the heart of a champion and respected the game, players and umpires. He was a well tuned hitter and had great speed on the bases and the same applied when he was playing in the outfield. The game has lost a fine young man and great ball player. My thoughts and belated prayers go out to the family. If there is baseball in heaven I know he is playing and giving all he has to the game. God Bless and keep you Zach and blessings your way and to your family and friends.

I went to Holy Cross High School with Zach. He was a very funny, easygoing guy. The thing I remember the most about him is his ability to make friends with anyone. I am sorry for his family's loss, and I give my sincerest condolences to them.
