I have precious memories over 60 years of cousin Dorothy's faith, strength, tenacity love of famiy. From a young girl I can remember her caring for her beloved Jimmy with his precious smile. No technology, minimal equipment, just her persistent loving heart, tough body and mind. Holding on to God's unchanging Hand. I know she had tears but I did not see them. Every time we visited Port Sulphur, Dorothy, my daddy, my 2 mothers over time- would laugh, talk, have a good family time. No matter what she was doing, she made time for cousin John and his crew. If cousin Dorothy ever fussed at me, I cannot remember it. As a teen I enjoyed time with my cousins Slim and Tommy who cousin Dorothy also became caregiver to before they graduated to the Lord. I thank cousin Tommy's committed wife for sharing in caring. God collects your tears and comforts your heart, mind, soul as only Be can. Rest in the peace of Jesus. That kind of Biblical Naomi and Ruth love between you and cousin Dorothy is tremendously hard to find on this side of Heaven.
Cousin Dorothy, you have given a lot to many, as unto the Lord and now you have all that God has for you forever more.Hallelujah. Aurora Raphael Carter and Joseph Carter Rensselaer New York.

I have so many fond memories of Cousin Dorothy, visiting Tommy, Slim, Jimmy and her in Port Sulphur all of my childhood. She was a fount of quiet wisdom, patience and long suffering and kindness always finding time to spoil us with all the food and cake we could handle. The world is truly a better place because of her life of goodness. Carol, God bless you for the loving care and devotion you showered upon her. May you find peace in knowing that you did above and beyond what anyone could ask and Cousin Dorothy praised you for your goodness to her. May God continue to bless you with peace on this earth as He gives her peace in heaven.
