The world is lessened by your absence, Isaac, but it is enriched by your time within it. Whenever I am asked to name my favorite teacher, there is no doubt. He is the Bard of Possumneck, Isaac Musselwhite. Thank you for an abiding appreciation of literature. I think of you often.

Isaac was a scholar, gentleman, and a great friend. I was honored by his invitation to chaperone a Rummel group trip with him to Mexico in the early 90's. He & his adorable Annie were my favorite neighbors in the Faubourg, New Orleans. K. Butler
