First I would like to thank the Panks' family, and Collette, for sharing a wonderful, respectful and professional man with the Sheriff's Office.
I was Jonathan's sergeant when he came to C-Team (District II Patrol) as a rookie. I watched him stumble and fumble, and get frustrated with himself in the beginning. But that didn't last long, he was a natural at being a Cop. Please know that I use the word cop as a term of endearment.
Many of us knew he had our backs and in law enforcement that mean the world to another cop. I couldn't have been prouder of him for his accomplishments throughout his career. I feel blessed to have known him on and off the job.
Love you Brother. Rest In Peace, we have your back from here.

I was so very sorry to hear this. Although I didn't know Jonathan, I went to school with his father Clayton at Boyet. He was far too young, and had far too much life ahead of him for this to happen. My prayers are with his fiance, and all of his family and friends.
