May the God of comfort be with you during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Joshua 1:9

To see a loved one succumb to death can be heartbreaking. Reflecting on the good times you had together can soften that pain. As you do so, may the God of tender mercies embrace you with his strong arms as you adjust to life without your husband, your father, and your friend.

Being married to Ralph's oldest sister, I have gotten to know Ralph very well over the last 4 decades. Although inflicted with a very serious illness at an early age and at the height of his productive career, he never complained or asked "why me." He was known for his analytical abilities and demonstrated them in the decisions he made whether it was a particular golf shot, a move on a board game, trading bonds and stocks in his portfolio, and even his medical treatment options. He was well read in multiple subjects and always demonstrated superior knowledge when the discussions became serious. He had an art for commanding the conversations in the room because everyone respected his opinion. He often volunteered and felt obligated to speak at large family gatherings and did it eloquently mixing fact with humor. His generosity and friendship will be missed by his schools, family and friends.

My condolences go to the family as you cope with the loss of your dear loved one. Always hold special memories of them close to your heart and may time, coupled with constant prayer, provide you with the comfort and strength needed to endure.

( 1 Thessalonians 5:17)
