So sorry to learn of your loss. Such a beautiful person who indeed touched many hearts. Her contagious smile will long be remembered and her genuine care about others has certainly pleased her Lord and Savior. May you find comfort in the faith she so boldly practiced. It was a true blessing to have simply known Shirlene.

Mrs. Shirlene was a long time family friend of my parent and also a neighbor. Mr. Phil and Noo- I was deeply saddened to hear of her passing. I will miss seeing her on her walks in the neighborhood. Praying for both for peace and comfort for mother of you.

Shirlene was a rare soul with a special personality which made you remember her with a warm smile and an uplifted heart. I haven't seen her in twenty years, however, I still remember her with great fondness. I know she will be missed, however, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Shirlene was the teacher of 2 of my children. She was an excellent teacher who really cared about the children she taught. She was very professional, yet kind. I know she will be greatly missed.

My heart goes out to Shirlenes family. She hired me to teach seventh grade at Maria Immacolata Catholic School. She helped me, was kind to me, and was there for me always. She has touched the hearts of so many in this area. She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Cooper was one of the kindest people Ive ever had the pleasure of knowing. My heart is so broken. Im terribly sad for your family. Her family was so fortunate to have her in their lives. She took me in as an inexperienced, non certified teacher and took her time to help me and walk me through nearly everyday. She also helped me with my youngest son when she was principal at MICS. She did everything she could to get my baby into Pre-K when times were very tough for me.
She spoke endlessly about her family, which was clear that she absolutely adored.
She was such a patient, kind and giving woman. I will remember her always.

So sorry Catherine. Your Mom was a great lady. Prayers for her and your family.

Miss Shirlene was like a second mother to me in High School. I love her deeply and loved to make her laugh. It's hard to believe she isn't with us anymore. I have such fond memories of her walking around with her feather duster lovingly laughing at Catherine and me! She taught me what a salad spinner was and also how to make a meatloaf! She was a force of nature in her own quiet, gentle way. We always knew she loved us. She showed us all how to be a loving wife and a doting mother. She was really a mother to so many. Gosh, I love her so much. Mr. Phil, Catherine and Kevin, and all of her family, you are in my constant prayers. May God comfort you.

Our California family branch is so grateful to have been able to meet Shirlene last year. She was an amazing gem and the fact that she brought family back together after so many years is greatly appreciated and such a wonderful legacy.
May her many wonderful memories bring comfort to you all. Bless you all.
