Alan singing New York, New York at my wedding in 1990.
Alan was a close friend of mine in my post teen years through the St. Mary’s young adults group in Pompton Lakes. Alan was a character always there to make you laugh when you needed to, or when you needed a shoulder. Many nights playing volleyball or basketball or bowling, always ending up for some adult beverages and good laughs and conversation. Lots of great parties at his lake hopatcong house. On my wedding day he honored us with his famous rendition on New York, New York (Sinatra version) photo attached. I will miss him and his larger than life laugh dearly. Rest In Peace, my friend. ❤

Many fond and fun memories of Allen with the St. Mary’s “not so young” adults ministry. He welcomed us to his Lake Hopatcong house. And I can’t help but smile, as I still hear him in my minds eye singing songs in a crooked fashion while changing the words. ... making us all laugh. ...God bless you Allen, and may God welcome you this day into eternal joy.
