Denis Kilborn was just one of those great guys. Full of life and personality. With a life in sales he had developed a finely honed amiability that made him just so damned likable! I never knew him to say an unkind word about anyone.
With his strong contacts in Montreal he knew his way around the 'rag trade', and I'll tell you, he was one "Dapper Dan." Always beautifully dressed, well groomed...and of course his eyewear! On top of trend, right now! Always!
A wonderful storyteller, he kept us regaled with many a chapter from his myriad adventures. As a "Friend Of HO" (Highland Optical) he made many visits to the store for purely social reasons...new stories to share!
He had many, many friends around here,( and everywhere he travelled) and his absence is sadly noted!
We hope that now, he is reunited with his beloved son James, and that the two of them can take long walks together, make lots of heavenly new friends - some of the four legged kind too, and find peace.
With Sadness & Great Affection,
Sharyn & The Optigals

Sorry to hear of the passing of Denis. Last saw him walking the seawall a few months ago. Denis was very encouraging and helpful to me in 93.94 when I stood at the turning point. Condolences to the family.
