Glenn Michael Mikulak, 18, of Front Royal, sailed peacefully into heaven on October 19, 2010. After a courageous, lifelong struggle, he succumbed to respiratory failure associated with muscular dystrophy.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal, VA.
Glenn was born December 19, 1991, in Arlington, VA, son of Robert and Glenda Gilbert Mikulak of Front Royal. He graduated with honors from Warren County High School Class of 2010 and finished 29th in his class. He also engineered and designed " K'Nector of the Seas".
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister Robin Mikulak; great grandfather and namesake Glenn Welden of Grants Pass, OR; grandparents Doug and Sharon Gilbert of Homosassa, FL; an aunt Kimberly Knickerbocker of Seattle, WA; two uncles Thomas Mikulak of Madison, VA and Paul Mikulak of Roanoke, VA; and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his grandmother Linda Hogoboom of Gig Harbor, WA. The family would like to extend a special thank you to "Glenn's Entourage" care team Joseph, Nick and Nick, Tyler, Helen, and Stephanie.
