Jim was one of the bravest men I ever met. He stood-up in the storm but had compassion for those who fell. Sally and I will miss this guy. I think the thing I will miss most is his laugh. What a tremendous sense of humor. Jim and I spoke at length every couple of months. Due to the death of my Dad and Sally's Mom we had not spoken for almost six months. I urge everyone to reach out to family and friends as frequently as possible. You never know how much time you have. Jim, I am going to miss you so much, but you know that....Lanny Smith

I am so sorry to learn of your loss. I am praying for your entire family as you go through this sad time. Jim was one of the best bosses I ever worked for and with. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. God's Peace be with you.

Jim was a great mentor. He was a tremendous help to me when I first joined TEEX in College Station. He taught me so much and never lost his sense of humor. A former colleague and I shared a few memories today and smiled as we remembered how much we enjoyed meetings he led. He was one-of-a-kind; a special man who is remembered fondly by those who worked with him more than 10 years ago. May God bless you during this time of grief.
