saint JEWELENE WAS A TRUE LOVER OF JESUS AND DEMONSTRATED IT IN MANY WAYS ONE BEING HER CALL TO MINISTER AT THE ALTAR AT OUR CHURCH. SHE KEPT HER APPOINTMENTS TOO FOR WHEN SHE PROMISED TO BE THERE SHE WAS. HER FAMILY LOVES THE LORD TOO AS WELL AS ONE OF THE FINEST MEN I'VE EVER KNOWN HER FAITHFUL HUSBAND JOE. SHE CHOSE WELL AND THEIR LOVE GREW AS THEY AGED. NO ONE WORKED HARDER THAN THEM. ONLY GOD KNOWS HOW MUCH FOOD SHE PREPARED IN HER LIFE BUT IT WOULD BE HUGE. SHE LOVED TO SING PRAISES TO JESUS AND WAS A CHOIR MEMBER FOR AS LONG AS I HAVE KNOWN HER. HER MOM WAS ONE AS WELL AND COULD REALLY SING FOR JESUS. I BELIEVE WE'LL ALL BE TOGETHER SOON WHEN JESUS CALLS HIS OWN TO HIMSELF AND OUR VOICES OF THANKSGIVING WILL FILL HIS HEART. MY LOVE FOR ALL WHO KNEW AND LOVED HER...

Miss Jewelene was the sweetest, most sincere, and most God-loving, Christ-like person I've ever known. She was the closest thing to an angel I've ever met, much like her mom, Miss Ruby. That she put up with me as her walking partner for more than 33 years is a testament to her strength of character and patience. She made me laugh so much, not always on purpose, and we cried together, as well. We solved the problems of the world in those early morning hours and made a lot of friends as we went. She made me a better person as well as a better cook. I have so many funny stories, fond memories, and classic Jeweleneisms of this glorious woman I'm proud to call my best friend. I know she's in heaven and will have scouted us a new walking route. Rest In Peace, Jewelene; I love you. You made the world a better place.
