Jeane P. Gilea-Goss, age 90, of Crown Point, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Survived by three daughters: Pam (Mike) Turner of Plainfield, IN, Char (Jim) Connelly of Crown Point, Bobbie (Blair) Antoni of Fishers, IN; seven grandchildren: Phillip (Jennifer) Connelly, Erica (Ryan) Hooker, Brian (Sarah) Connelly, Meredith (Tony) Williams, Victoria Connelly, Austin and Natalie Antoni; nine great grandchildren: Fiona, Vincent and Kingston Connelly, Addison and Elinn Hooker, Jackson and Benjamin Connelly, Turner and Berkeley Williams; three sisters-in-law: Mildred Pogo, Katie Tomko, Pauline Goss; many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by son, Gregory Gilea; husband, John Goss; two sisters: Lillian Madison and Violet Kazmerski; two brothers: Chet Pogo and Ed Pogo. Jeane was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Rosary Sodality, Crown Point and a former member of St. Mark Catholic Church, Gary. She was a member of Madame Curie Circle, PNA Lodge #3134, American Legion Auxiliary Unit #207, and Daughters of Isabella. Jeane was a graduate of Emerson High School. She was a retired clerk from Sheet & Tin Mill, U.S. Steel with 25 years of service. Jeane loved to read, travel and visit casinos. She was a devoted grandmother and great grandmother. Family and friends may call at Pruzin & Little Funeral Service, 811 E. Franciscan Dr., Crown Point (south of St. Rd. 231 on St. Rd. 55) on Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a Legion Auxiliary service at 4:00 p.m. and a Madame Curie service at 4:30 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, May 6, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. from Pruzin & Little Chapel and 10:00 a.m. from St. Mary Catholic Church, 321 Joliet St., Crown Point with Rev. Pat Kalich officiating. At rest Maplewood Memorial Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Heart of Illinois Downs Syndrome Association.
