M. JOANNE SERLES VALPARAISO, IN M. Joanne Serles, 81, of Valparaiso, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013. She was born October 2, 1931 in Eldorado, IL to Charlie and Maude Telban. Joanne was a member of Heartland Christian Center and a former employee of Wishing Well Laundry in Valparaiso. On July 11, 1949 she married William Serles who preceded her in death in 2004. Survivors include their children: William (Lynn) Serles, Jr., of FL, Nancy (Larry) Tolle, Joyce Serles both of Valparaiso, Mike (Donna) Serles of Westville; seven grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; and one brother. A funeral service will be held Monday, May 6, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso, with burial to follow at Angelcrest Cemetery. I miss you grandma. I miss our long talks, visits and scrabble games. You and grandpa were one of the ones I could always talk to when stuff got really hard. I love you both forever and wish I could have a long talk with you both right about now. I miss and love you both so much

Tilly was the sweetest, kindest woman I have ever known. Her beautiful heart and smile that could light up anyone's heart will be so greatly missed. It has been many, many years since seeing her, but I have thought of her often... and remember her so fondly. Hugs and love to Ike, Nancy, Joyce, Mike, and families during this time.
