Mr. Volkman was one of my favorite history teachers in middle school! I remember thinking he was one of few teachers who both had a good sense of humor and still expected maturity from us. His commentary during clips of Spartacus that we watched in class have stayed with me - he was very insightful and had a moral code of conduct that I greatly respected. He was a wonderful person and I hope his family knows how much he impacted the lives of his students.

He was a favorite teacher of my children, Ryan and Caitie. A warm and caring person, who cared about his students. We are sorry for your loss.

Mr. Volkman was an exceptional educator and even 29 years later I still have vivid memories of his classroom, his laugh, and his smile. Thank you for being a positive influence to me and many others.

I would like to give my condolences. He was my 6th grade social studies teacher. Hes the reason why I fell in love with history and why I pursued history in college. It breaks my heart to learn that hes passed. He was such a good teacher, it breaks my heart that hes passed.

My family, the Santos, became fortune enough to become friend with Tim and Bev. We shared many holidays together and considered them family. I know deep down Bev took Tim to go with her in heaven to end his suffering of Alzheimer's. You will be missed Tim, but I know you are happy and telling jokes with Bev. We love you both.

So sorry to hear of Tim's passing. I taught with him at Klondike Elem. We laughed a lot in those days, because Tim kept us entertained. He had a wonderful sense of humor.
