Our sincerest condolences to the Sherman family. I grew up a few blocks away and Randy and I were friends and classmates. Allie took us down to see the NY Giants behind the scenes and I got to meet Y.A. Tittle and others. Allie was such a nice person and great guy, I will never forget his generosity. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Allie Sherman enjoyed a long and successful career doing the things he loved to do. Cherish the life well-lived. May the love of God and family and the many promises found in God's word unite and strengthen those he leaves behind. (1 John 4:9). He will be missed!

More and more we want to say we love, the Bible says it is a perfect bond of union. When we show love people are drawn to us, we can make a difference and not even know it. May the family and friends of Allie find love in their fond memories of him. My sincere condolence.

May the Lord comfort and strengthen you at this time. I grew up in NY rooting for Allie and the Giants. When the Yankees were in the World Series, the Giants would practice on the Fordham campus in the Bronx; the Maras were Fordham people. Allie did a great job with a team that was a little long in the tooth and he brought Y.A. Tittle to the Giants which was a very savvy move. I thank him for much great football and many happy memories. May he rest in peace.

Our father knew Allie Sherman through Allie's father in the 1950's. We first met him around 1960. We remember an incredibly generous man who sent autographed footballs, programs, and photos to us. He brought us on the field to meet “his boys” during training camps, and we sometimes sat with his parents at Giants games. But the words we will always remember him by he wrote on one of the footballs: “Always be a Giant.” Rest in Peace Allie Sherman.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of such a great man and family man. I cut my teeth as a football fan under Coach Sherman and briefly had the pleasure of working with his daughter Laurie in 1978. My thoughts are with you in this time of sorrow.

Coach Sherman was a good man. He coached in the best of times and the worst. His TV shows where he talked about upcoming football games were good as well. RIP !
