You were the "wind beneath my wings" when I had the honor to study with you at Jacob's Pillow in the 1950s. Later, I took your classes at the Met., when I was in the Ballet company there. You were a giant of a man and teacher. Your whole family, Marcella, Andra and Ernesta, are in my heart.

Maestro,
I was never blessed to know you here in physical form, but you have truly enriched my life through your knowledge and loving spirit embodied by your beautiful daughters, Andra and Ernie. Thank you for the life you lived that gives positively to one generation after another. Happy Birthday. Because of you, I learned to Be.

Dear Mr. Corvino, Happy birthday! And Thank You for the many stories, the hours of patient teaching and the gentle wisdom you so graciously imparted to all who were willing to accept it! The wonderful technique you gave to us all has given me the ballet career I always dreamed of and now as I pass that and many of your stories and combinations on to my students, I remember you with love!! Hugs to you and Marcella xoxoxo Rosemary

Happy Birthday Mr. Corvino. I was honored to take class in your home this morning with Ernesta as teacher. Your beautiful daughters Ernesta and Andra continue to impart your inspiring work, and your loving spirit is clearly alive in them.

Mr. Corvino- I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from you. By sharing your spirit and knowledge, you still remind me always of "quality not quantity." Thank you for this lesson of quality. It gave me special moments of dance but more importantly, it gave me inspiration to want to have a qualitative life as a person. You are missed dearly but you have never left.. Love you and your amazing daughters. xoxo

So grateful for your teaching and modeling! In particular, today, I am grateful that you believed in our intelligence as artists, as problem-solvers, and taught us to discover principles through exploring the actual movement itself. For teaching the art of phrasing--how one thing follows or leads the next.

And to Marcella, for daily doses of wisdom, kindness and humanity.

Thirty years later and I still think of you every day - sometimes your words of wisdom about passés, sometimes about phrasing, sometimes about courage. Thank you, Mr. Corvino.

I think of you so often, and hear your voice in my head still. You showed me the way to a new level -- a way that I could not have found without your guidance.
I miss your intense calm and serious sense of fun!
