Edith,
I am sorry to learn of your mother's death. I have such fond memories of her and thought of her often over the years. She gave us our name, the Dartmouth Road gang..it has always made me smile. She was an amazing woman. God's blessing be with you at this time of sorrow and remembrance. Kathy Schmidt (Keefe)

Edith, It was a pleasure learning about your lively mother when I did her family tree. You were blessed to enjoy her companionship for so many years, and to witness her example of lifelong service to others.Though we never met, I felt she was a kindred spirit, and I treasure the books she sent to me.

Dearest Edith! It is such an honor to learn about your mom through this beautiful piece. Though I have never met her, I can see the light in her through you; bright, powerful and embracing. As proud of you are of having her as your mother, I am sure she is proud of you!

What a wonderful life she had and I know she will continued to be celebrated through your love.

Many hugs my friend!

Dear Edith ,

thank You so much for sharing with me the passing away of your great & dearly beloved Mom , Irma ,
whom I have never met but whom I have learned so much about over the many years of our friendship !

as You mentioned in Your wonderfully warm obituary , Your Mom was indeed an exceptionally great person , talented on so many levels and always prepared to put her knowledge and wisdom to good use for the benefit of her family , friends & all people around her , that is highly remarkable & adorable !

I have just listened to the very beautiful & so fitting music , that You had chosen for the enjoyment of Your Mom , sad BUT so beautiful !

I share Your sadness , dear Edith & Rand & John too ,with my warmest condolences , but have all confidence that You will find much consolation in the knowledge of the love that was the bond with Your Mom / Mother in law , that bond will last forever ..

with a warm Hug , Wolfgang

I've never forgotten my many encounters with Mrs. Mirante from age 5 through High School as Edith's friend. She was always interested in me, and a delightful, beautiful woman. Her owl collection was amazing. Knowing her, one can be sure every moment of her life was filled with interesting activities.
May her memory be a comfort to you, Edith and Rand.
