Leona, it seems like yesterday but 2020 makes it 40 years since our 7th Form year. From the class of 1980 no one will be more respected, more loved and more fondly remembered than you Leona.
Mostly you'll be remembered for your care, your compassion and love for everyone, always interested in how everyone was doing. You were wise and responsible but always easy going, friendly and open for a chat. You always knew what everyone was up to (even if it was no good..) and kept an eye on the rest of the prefects.
One great memory I have is the 7th Form Great Barrier Island trip where we sailed over then trekked from Claris to Tryphena via Kaitoke Hot Springs and Mt Hobson (sorry for scaring you with the giant cave weta). You had a particularly heavy backpack and I remember taking it for a while to lessen the burden.. But usually it was you who took on others burdens and provided a shoulder for others and an ear to listen.. You enriched the lives of everyone that knew you. Goodbye Leona and Rest in Peace. My Sincere Sympathy and Condolences to the Braithwaite's, Perkins, extended family and close friends. Leona must have made you all so very proud. Love, Robbie Jones, Brisbane Australia.

So sad to hear of your passing. My thoughts are with you Glenise Ron and family.
