Had Bob as a coach 1972 Auckland University 3rd grade. Only just thought of him now as a very good coach for a young man. Bit late for condolences but pleased to be able to and hope someone may be appreciative. All the best to family and friends. Stuart Reid (incidentally son of Ponty Reid)

It is impossible to do justice to such a great man but here goes -What a family man, what a sportsman, what a businessman, what a man - be it Captain or team/family man, what a mentor - RIP Bob (RH) Graham you deserve the rest although I suspect your old Auckland Rigby teammates have been waiting at the gates for a while for you to lead once again!
Well played.
In my 9 odd years as Halberg Chair I always looked to my first seat on the left to see Bobs reaction before EVER making my views known- not always the same as his but man I always respected them.
Quite apart from his family stuff, rugby leadership et al he was THE integral part in my mind of Halberg for its first 50 years. the core.
Strong determined stubborn dry humoured - loved that man.

GRAHAM, Robert Harold (Bob). It is with sadness that Auckland Rugby acknowledges the passing of Auckland Rugby Life Member and Centurion Robert (Bob) Graham. A proud Auckland University Rugby Club member, joining the club in 1956 before debuting for the Blue and White Hoops in 1958. At a young age, Bob went on to captain Auckland in 1960 alongside the late Sir Wilson Whineray, leading the Auckland side through the Ranfurly Shield golden era of the early 60s. A quality Blindside Flanker who was sound on defence, Bob played his last game for Auckland in 1965, playing 103 games and scoring 42 points. After Bob's playing years, he became Auckland coach from 1966-69 and coached the Auckland University Club side from 1972-74, winning a Gallaher Shield in his last year at the helm. A family man and strong supporter of the game, who would most often be seen on the sidelines supporting his Grandson playing in the Under 85 competition in Auckland. Our thoughts and condolences go out to Bob's wife Roberta and the Graham family at this time.

GRAHAM, Robert Harold (Bob). Passed away on October 19, 2021. Bob was one of the founding partners of Brown Woolley Graham, which later became Grant Thornton. Bob will be remembered not only as a trusted business advisor to many Auckland businesses, but more importantly he will be remembered as a gentleman. His wisdom and guidance to both clients and colleagues will be fondly remembered. Bob was often the voice of moderation in the leadership team with a refreshing ability to be able to look to the future and see the need to change as the world changes, whilst valuing strong work ethics and the importance of strong relationships. We thank you Bob for sharing your insights and the stories you shared and created with us. Current and former Partners and team members of Grant Thornton send their heartfelt condolences to Roberta, and her family.
