From the Garden Design Society of New Zealand.

Ted Smyth, our life member and a kaumatua of garden design in New Zealand has fallen.

Thank you for all you have done for garden design in New Zealand. The industry would not be what it is today if it wasn't for you.

Much aroha to your family.

Nga Mihi, GDSNZ

My deepest condolences to everyone in the family... such a shock to hear of this, very sad news, hard to come to terms with what's happened... your brilliant creativity lives on through your grandchildren Ted, may you finally rest in peace xox

SMYTH, Ted. Dearly loved brother of Claudia and the late Nyria and Owen and son of the late Glory and Les. Brother-in-law of Jim Hoyle and loved uncle of Marie Stow and Glenn Gairdner. You left us so quickly but you are resting peacefully now. Your amazing gardens will carry your legacy.
