SANDY, JOANN LOVETT, 86
Ocala - JoAnn Lovett Sandy, 86, of Ocala died peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2018. She was in Hospice of Marion County care. She was born in Valdosta, Georgia, September 19, 1930 to the late L.B. and Lois Lovett, also of Ocala.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, J.T. Sandy; and her son, Thomas Lovett Sandy.
She is survived by her daughter, Lacy Sandy Boltin; son, John Neal Sandy (Marcia); daughter-in-law, Jeanmarie Adams Sandy; and sister, Mara Lovett Elliott (Sonny); her loving grandchildren, Kennis Boltin Hyder, Jordan Sandy (Katie), Kameron Sandy, Mary Jo Rodrigue (Marc) and Chandler Sandy; great-grandchildren, her darlings Lovett, Bo and Vivienne; nieces and nephews, and many friends.
She was a graduate of Florida State University and a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and United Daughters of the Confederacy. JoAnn will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and a generous and kind friend. She was a true lady.
A celebration of JoAnn's life will take place Friday, February 16, 2018 at 1 p.m. at HIERS-BAXLEY Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. In lieu of flowers, those wanting to honor JoAnn may wish to make a donation to Hospice of Marion County, PO Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478-4860.

I am so sorry for your loss. JoAnn was so kind and gentle. I so enjoyed visiting with her at the Gator gatherings! She reminded me of her mother, my longtime neighbor. Hoping for peace for all who loved her.
