I love you and miss you. You will always hold a special place in my heart. I know you are in a far better place. But it still hurts to know that you are gone. You were there for me when I needed you. You seen things in me when no one else cared to look. You fought for me in my time of need and kept me strong when I was down. Over the past couple of years I loved reminiscing with you , sharing my memories and sometimes you would remember too and it would just melt my heart. Just you saying my name was the best feeling. I loved seeing you so happy over a milkshake or Lee's potpie. Everytime I hoped you were having a good day. Sometimes I would just sit and watch you sleep. Just being there with you was so comforting. Listening to the country legends music and you would tap your toes and sing along. I loved those days. But it was also hard seeing you not being you. In the end it was extremely hard knowing the outcome but I had to be by your side. I did not want you to be alone in your time of need. I stroked your hair, held your hand and whispered how much you meant to me. I wanted you to be at peace. I said my goodbyes and you were gone. I love you forever and always, Grandma.
