God bless your family, Aubrey. You were a brother in SAE to by brother, Grandfather, Father and uncle. And my brother and sister were behind you as grads at HH. Wish I had known you ( Class of '76 Casady School.) You did so much for both of our schools,Thank you for you for helping my CASADY and OU - my Alma Maters, and the neighbor hood I grew up in, Nichols Hills. I will remember you always as that great looking guy Class of HH 77 with the long curly hair who I wish I had known!!!! Thanks for being the great philanthropist, contributing to Casady and Heritage Hall. So, God Bless You and PHI ALPHA, you are in Heaven, dear friend!! PHI ALPHA Aubrey. God be with you

I am an entrepreneur and read everything I could get my hands on about Mr. McClendon. I admired him from afar. His drive, optimism and passion for his businesses inspired me. I live in Southeast Missouri, but it was my goal to one day meet this man, I have been praying for your family. When there are no answers we turn to God! The great faith exemplified by your family will get all of you through this period of uncertainty. I hope to visit OKC and see the print he left on the community he loved.

We moved to OKC in 2005 knowing absolutely no one. We came to Nichols Hills with our 2 yr old son, my wife 8 months pregnant and a bit stressed. The first person in our neighborhood to introduce themselves was Aubrey. I was putting new plates on my car in our driveway. Out of the corner of my eye I spotted someone on a bicycle with a baseball hat, shorts and white T-shirt. He pedaled into my driveway and said hey. I asked how I could help him (thinking he was selling something). He said no, I'm Aubrey, your neighbor. We lived there three years and he was such a great guy, a great neighbor and you quickly learned how much he loved his city and state. When he found out we had sold the company I came to run, he called and asked if I would meet him. He said he didn't want us to leave OKC and he wanted to figure out a way to keep us there. I'll never forget his kindness, his genuine care of others and his pride and love of his family. I'm so very sorry and sad to hear of his passing. My sincere thoughts and prayers go out to Katie, his children and extended family and to all of Oklahoma for the loss of a husband, father and friend.
