May 10, 1932 - January 13, 2018 OKLAHOMA CITY Paul Marcus Goode found comfort and peace with his Lord on January 13, 2018. He was born in Dallas, TX to John William "J.W." and Hyacinth Viola Lee Goode. The family moved to Mangum, OK where he graduated from Mangum High School. Paul was Class President, Band Captain (playing the trombone), a member of the National Honor Society, and was elected to Boys' State. After high school, he attended the University of Oklahoma until he was drafted, during the Korean Conflict, where he served as an Airman in the United States Navy. Paul was Band Captain in the Navy Band. After his discharge, Paul returned to Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma City University, graduating in 1958 with a B.S. in Business. It was in Oklahoma City where he met the love of his life, Paula Jon Jackson. Paul and Paula were married November 28, 1957. Paul was the greatest Dad to their two children, Jonna Lynne and Paul Marcus, Jr. (Marc). Paul became a proud and accomplished builder/developer in both residential and commercial real estate. He built many quality homes, including those in which his family lived and was involved in the development of many areas including Warwick, Val Verde and his own private haven, Sterling Brook. Paul loved Big Band and Dixieland music and loved to dance. He was an avid Sooner fan and he and Paula greatly enjoyed heading to Norman to cheer their beloved Sooners to victory! Like his father, Paul was the most kind, sweet man to everyone who knew him - a gentle giant. Although he lived most of his life in Oklahoma City, "Mangum Town" was always his beloved home. Paul was predeceased by his beautiful wife of 58 years, Paula. He is survived by his daughter, Jonna Lynne Cassil & husband Ken (OKC); his son, Paul Marcus Goode, Jr. (Marc) & wife Rachel (Seattle); his sister, Allyne Sharpe (OKC); his beloved grandsons, Christopher "Jackson" Cassil & Robert A. Manchester, IV (who called him "The Mr.") and precious "steps", Kenny W. Cassil, III and Kane B. Cassil; and many loving, extended family members and friends. Services will be Thursday, January 18, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Resurrection Cemetery. To share a memory or condolence, visit www.mercer-adams.com www.mercer-adams.com
