I vividly recall how Mr. Frohling stood at the chalkboard and illustrated how to derive the area of a circle using calculus in such a simple, clear way that even a non-math whiz like me could grasp the concept. I’ve shared this memory many times with many others over the years. Such a phenomenal teacher and decent human being. We were all blessed to have known him.

Mr. Frohling was the best teacher that I have ever had. He is the reason I love math to this day. He encouraged me in so many ways. I wouldn't be where I am today without him.

Mr. Frohling was an amazing teacher and role model. He taught his class with kindness and respect and was always available to help. He purposely scheduled AP Calculus before our nutrition break to give us extra time. He broke down the difficult concepts to understandable smaller equations. He joked around with us and even playfully tried to trick us by dividing by zero. We had personalized shirts and were held accountable for our homework, even during the Winter Olympics. Thank you for leading by example Mr. Frohling! Those who were taught by you learned so much more than what was in the book. You blessed so many of us and will be missed.

My first thought when I read this was, I wonder if he kept that amazing "FCC In Session" light box that someone made for him.

Thank you, Coach, for making me a statistician in 69-70 and 70-71. I came to Magnolia High School damaged from an abusive, alcoholic father. You gave me purpose. I couldn’t be depressed when I had to pay attention enough to chart rebounds, shots, and turnovers. I have told many that Basketball saved my life. But it wouldn’t have unless I had had the opportunity to do that job. Love to you and the family. ❤❤❤

Mr. Frohling was the best teacher I ever had. He was my mentor and the reason I became a math teacher. I last saw him in 1994 when I observed him for my teacher Ed program. He was kind, smart, funny and patient. I spent many a mornings in his room my senior year in AP Calculus. He never made me feel dumb. He encouraged and inspired me to do my best. I always wanted to tell him how much he meant to me and how many of my students have become math teachers. He began the teaching tree and it has many branches and has born so much fruit. My deepest condolences to his family. They need to know how much he was truly loved, admired, and respected. I can only wish I was able to tell him myself. RIP Mr. Frohling. With much love,

He was a great teacher and an inspiration of what teaching should be like. He really cared about his students and their success. I only had him as an instructor for a few weeks, we moved right as the school year started, but he left a positive memory on me. RIP

Mr. Frohling was the best teacher I ever had. I had the opportunity to tell him that because his grandchildren became my students when they were in my junior high class. His entire family was the epitome of the American dream. They worked for what they wanted and were extremely decent people. RIP Mr. Frohling. Thanks for making a difference in my life.

Mr. Frohling was my favorite teacher at Magnolia High School. He was a dear, sweet, gentle soul; a patient and gifted teacher; and an amazing role model for how to lead a good life and how to treat others. The world has lost an amazing, wonderful man.

This man was my absolute FAVORITE teacher at Magnolia High School! He genuinely cared about his students and their success. I have never forgotten him! I came in early before school to his classroom so many times to get help with my math homework and he was so good at breaking it down into understandable and manageable steps. When I had another math teacher, he still helped me in a way that the other teacher could not. I appreciated his dedication and concern for me in helping me succeed! Thanks for the impact that you had in my life, Mr. Frohling, a true teacher of teachers! May his memory be a blessing!

There are certain teachers in your life you remember because of the impact they had on you. Mr. Frohling that kind of teacher for me. He made a difficult subject relatable and enjoyable. He was my teacher in 1981 but I can still picture days in his classroom and I carry with me some of the lessons he taught both in math and others just to be a good person!
