Mar¡a Teresa Herreras (n‚e Grace) passed away on September 6, 2020. Mary had just celebrated her 88th birthday with all of her daughters by her side. She was the baby in her family, born the youngest of seven in Tucson, Arizona on September 4th, 1932. Mary now joins her siblings and her parents, Elena Nenninger and Felipe Encinas Grace, in Heaven, along with her late husband Edward Herreras. Mary and Ed wed on October 3, 1953, and together they raised six amazing, strong daughters. Mary was a devout Catholic, and active in her community at St. Polycarp in Garden Grove. She is survived by all her children: Lisa Simant (Patty Herkins aka #7), Letti (Mark Johnson), Tricia (Tom Shelton), Tina (Dan Videtto), Sylvia (Michael Whitehouse), and Grace (Mark Chavis); her grandchildren: Alan (Catherine), Craig, Brent (Tracy), Gunnar (Kara), Ryan (Elizabeth), Amy (Peter), Erika, Edward, Ali, Hannah, and Hallie; and her beautiful great-grandchildren, Audrey, Luke and Wren. Each of us will cherish her memory and hold on to the goodness Mary brought with her wherever she went. Mary will be buried beside Edward at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery on Friday, September 11, 2020.

I loved Aunt Mary & Uncle Eddie dearly. We didn’t get to see each other often, but over my adult years we spoke at least 2 times a year.

Tía Mary & I had a special connection because she too was the baby of my mommy’s siblings, her birthday was just a month before mine, and she and Uncle Eddie’s Anniversary and my birthday are the same date.

I am grateful for her love, support, and always available open ear for guidance or feedback. I too am grateful for my 6 amazing primas and their loved ones and offsprings of the Grace Herreras unity.

✝ that you, nana, tata, Tíos Philip, Macky, mama, Tías Helen & Fina will continue to protect us along with Tías Edna & Di, & my Jennifer Grossman . All shining stars . ♥
