Patricia Ann Richardson was born on June 30, 1931, in Pottstown, Pennsylvania to Laurence and Berniece Curran. Her father's employment made it necessary for the family to move up and down the East Coast and, in December, 1940, to Hawaii. In December 1941, Pat, her parents and four siblings were living in naval housing at Pearl Harbor, where they witnessed the Japanese attack. At Easter, 1942, the family was transferred to California, where they eventually set down roots. In 1948, Pat graduated from St. Anthony High School in Long Beach. Over the course of her adult life Pat distinguished herself as a medical transcriber, worked in the Nixon White House and for Flying Tigers Airlines. In her forties she learned to fly and eventually owned her own plane. She met her husband, when he rented her plane. Together they traveled extensively and both at home and abroad enjoyed fine dining. Pat is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ryden Richardson, her brothers Laurence, Jr. and Thomas, and her sisters Gladys Kehr and Jane Husereau. She is survived by her sister Ruth Curran and her brothers Rev. James Curran, CMF and Michael (Linda). A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a vigil service at 7:00 PM at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary, Fullerton. For the past couple of years I have stayed with my Aunt Pat whenever my other Aunt was out of town. My Aunt Pat and I would talk for hours on a variety of subjects. I always enjoyed her company and found her life experiences fascinating. Not to mentioned she is a published author of two children's books. She also liked to stay busy reading and researching genealogy. She was truly a pioneer and role model. I will miss her dearly.
